5 Reasons We’re Excited for #INBOUND17

INBOUND 2017 is almost here, and the Terminus team couldn’t be more excited to take Boston by storm during HubSpot’s annual event.

Party plane

To get you even more hyped, we’ve compiled a list of five reasons we can’t wait for INBOUND 2017. Let us know what you’re most excited for by using the hashtag #INBOUND17 and tweeting at @Terminus!

1. Boston, Baby!

As a Boston University alum (go Terriers!), I could talk for hours about my favorite activities to do and sights to see in Boston. Chances are your schedule during INBOUND will be pretty packed, but if you can, make some time to get out and about in one of the USA’s oldest cities.

The Boston Common

Stroll down Newbury Street to the Boston Common or wander around Harvard Square in Cambridge while sipping L.A. Burdick’s to-die-for hot chocolate. Visit the Green Monster in Fenway Park and then pop over to Mei Mei for the best Asian fusion food in town. Or if you’re a history buff, walk the Freedom Trail or the Black Heritage Trail to get a peek into the city’s past. (And save me some cannoli from the North End, please!)

2. Endless Networking Opportunities

In 2016, over 19,000 people from 92 countries attended INBOUND. You never know — you could meet your future business partner or mentor in one of the 250+ sessions! At the very least, you’ll have a chance to connect with vendors, thought leaders, and sales and marketing practitioners from around the world. So bring your business cards, get your LinkedIn profile ready, and strike up a conversation with someone you wouldn’t normally get a chance to meet.

Great to meet you Elf

3. Community Day

As HubSpot explains on the INBOUND website, “INBOUND officially kicks off 6pm on Monday, September 25th, but during the day you have the option of attending Community Day events that have been independently organized by the INBOUND community and some that have been organized by HubSpot.”

From HubSpot training to a behind-the-scenes brewery tour, there’s truly something for everyone on Community Day! You can even join after-hour events like a Red Sox game or a storytelling show from The Moth. Check out all the Community Day events here.

4. A Diverse Range of Speakers

The agenda features a wide variety of presenters and panelists, from authors to TV producers to sales and marketing professionals from virtually every industry. I mean, what other event can boast guests like Michelle Obama, Tiffany Haddish, Judd Apatow, Andy Cohen, Issa Rae, and Mario Batali? And beyond that, a huge percentage of the speakers are women, people of color, and other individuals from groups that are often underrepresented at tech industry events.

5. The Intersection of Inbound + ABM

Lately there’s been a lot of buzz around account-based marketing, or ABM, and whether it can coexist with an inbound marketing strategy.

We belong together

The simple answer is yes, and we’re excited to hear from some incredible speakers at INBOUND who will be sharing exactly how ABM and inbound can work together for B2B companies. Some of the INBOUND sessions focused on account-based marketing include:

Also, Terminus and HubSpot will have some exciting news to share, so make sure you’re following @HubSpot and @Terminus on Twitter with #ABM and #INBOUND17.
