Justin Keller Named to IBJ’s 2021 Forty Under 40

2021 is the year of Acceleration here at Terminus. We came out of the gate strong with our $90M Series C led by Great Hill Partners in February, and followed that up with adding 80+ news teammates, all while building the leading go-to-market platform for our amazing customers.

None of these accomplishments would be possible without an incredible team. You could say I’m biased, but Terminus Nation is made up of the most hardworking, driven, and passionate group of people I’ve been fortunate to work with.

That includes Justin Keller. Justin is our VP of Marketing overseeing all things brand for Terminus. Justin is the embodiment of a team player, boundary-pusher, and all-around great human to work with. He’s responsible for bringing the Terminus brand to life, including his most recent brainchild: Break Sh!t. Yep, he named an event Break Sh!t.

This is why I am so thrilled to share that Justin was named to the 2021 Forty Under 40 by the Indianapolis Business Journal. Each year, IBJ picks 40 central Indiana professional leaders who have achieved a level of success that is rare at a young age including workplace achievements and civic involvement. At Terminus this is also important because Indy is now our 2nd largest office, after our Atlanta HQ.

While we’re all lucky enough to see Justin in action each week, I wanted to shed a light on why he was selected for this big honor. He’s just a peek at how Justin levels up our team while bringing our core values–D.R.I.V.E–to life.

Dedicated: We show up every day ready to make an impact.

Ask anyone on this team about working with Justin, and teammates would sing his praises. Whether it’s jumping on customer calls, taking over a webinar last-minute, or ideating and launching our brand new employee brand, Justin will sign up for absolutely anything to help the company.

Risk-Taking: Category leaders do things only category leaders can do. Be bold and take big risks.

Perhaps Justin’s most-exercised core value, risk-taking is the name of his game (why do you think my hair is gray). He literally named an event Break Sh!t and broke a bunch of records with registration and attendance, oh..and he managed to get Saxsquach to perform Careless Whisper (yes, seriously). He is also challenging a very rigid approach to B2B Marketing by ensuring it is more human and filled with authenticity.

Inventive: Our curiosity and creativity keeps us moving forward, always challenging the status quo.

May I introduce you to our Terminus Merch Store? How about a fun new game, Cards Against Marketing? Not your thing, that’s okay. Maybe a Michael Bay-inspired production is your speed.

I think Jusitn’s ideas and work speaks for itself here.

Valued: We celebrate our individuality and cheer each other on. Together we are greater than the sum of our parts.

Want to know a little secret? Justin has a daily calendar reminder to “tell someone they’re cool.” Making sure his teammates feel appreciated and celebrated is one of Justin’s biggest strengths. In our own relationship, we can be direct, challenging, collaborative and serious – but we also laugh a lot. He adds something special to our already great company culture.

Energized: We bring joy and enthusiasm into everything we do. We make everything we touch better.

Enthusiasm is Justin’s middle name. Sometimes I wonder where he gets all his energy (probably cold brew…). He truly exudes positivity and excitement for his role and the impact Terminus is making on our customers. Combine this with his dedication and you’ve got someone kinda special.

Justin, on behalf of Terminus Nation, congratulations on being named to IBJ’s Forty Under 40! We knew you wouldn’t make a big deal out of this, so we will. We’re so proud of your inclusion, and thrilled we get to work with you every day. Thanks for making an impact on this team.

Here’s to taking more risks and breaking more (marketing) rules!

Oh, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t use this as an opportunity to also mention we’re hiring for a number of roles. Check ‘em out!
