David also has a rich history as a founder for the technology startups Compete, Lookery, Ghostery, and Performable.
Performable’s history as a startup is particularly interesting. Performable offers a software platform for businesses looking to optimize their marketing, sales and customer service efforts. It offers a unified view of your customers across e-mail, web, social media and mobile channels, analytical tools to understand what marketing and sales efforts are working and the ability to trigger marketing campaigns based on real-time customer behavior.
Hubspot acquired Performable in June 2011, and David Cancel became the Chief Product Officer for Hubspot where he served until September 2014 – and then founded Drift (because serial entrepreneurs don’t just start a business once).
